Week 8 - Gold Coast - Race 4 - Number 16 - Redford ($22)

For my week 8 bet, I’m putting my $310 on Redford at $22.

Had a real forget run in his last start in the 1400m Magic Millions Cup ($2 million race). He jumped awkwardly and clipped the heels of the another horse, did not run on and after the race a vets examination revealed the gelding had cardiac arrhythmia. Absolute forget run!!

The run before was that was huge, 1300m on the Sunshine Coast, carrying 60kg from barrier 12 (of 12), gets held up in the straight and still wins. If he runs anything like that he is a chance here.

Draws barrier 5, gets into the race with the minimum (53kg) and is unbeaten first up (2/2).

I think the dangers are Need Some Luck, Warnie and The Inflictor
