For my Week 49 bet, I’ve had $100 on Persian Spirit @ $14.

Has a great record at this trip (1100m) (2 wins and 2 seconds from 4 starts). Last start 3rd over 1400m at Flemington, start before was far too good for them at Pakenham.

Has had an 8 week letup. It's his first start here in a pretty weak Group 1.

He should be raced off the speed and doing his best work late.

Dangers are Point Barrow, Tropicus and De Bergerac.
