Eagle Farm Race 8 No 1 - Deep Focus @$9.25

For my Week 23 bet, I’ve had $100 on Deep Focus @ $9.25

Last start ran 6th in the G1 QLD Derby in June I've 2400m. Has simce had a nice barrier trial on the Gold Coast two weeks ago where he was ridden cold, was well held but ran well through the line and finished 3rd.

Drops back to 1400m after a 60 day freshen up.

Has won over this distance on a soft track first up as his only win.

The barrier is a bit of a concern, but will drop back in the field, and should be doing his best work late.


Dangers are Formal Display, Kadall and Larrikan Rogue.
